- All guild members whose membership dues are paid by November 30, 2007 (6 months prior
to the Show) are invited to participate in the Quilt Show.
- Any quilt will be accepted which has not been hung at a previous “Quilts in
the Valley” Quilt Show.

Show Categories:
- The Hanging Team reserves the right to correct the category of an entry.
- All hand quilted entries to be identified by a separate small sign.
1. Pieced - Piecing must predominate over appliqué or other technique. (Includes hand quilting, machine quilting, or long arm quilting done by self)

Large Pieced - perimeter of more than 300”

Medium Pieced – perimeter between 200” and 300”

Small Pieced – perimeter of less than 200”
2. Appliqued – Applique must predominate over piecing
or other technique. (Includes hand quilting, machine quilting, or long arm quilting done by self)

Large Appliqued - perimeter of more than 240”

Small Appliqued – perimeter of less than 240”
3. Mixed Technique – any size - Includes
various techniques; stenciling, yoyo’s, wholecloth, cathedral Windows, trapunto, painted, cross-stitched, embroidered,
etc. or a combination of techniques.
4. Group Quilt - any size – Any quilt
made or worked on by more than one person, as long as one of them is a guild member, but it may not be quilted by someone
who does this as a business. Round robin quilts and internet swap quilts would
fit in this category.
5. Commercially Quilted – any size – Any quilt
made by a guild member, or by a group, which is quilted by someone who does this as a business.

8. Miniature – A scaled down version of a full sized
quilt, with the longest side no more than 26”. Maximum block size is 4”.
